Patient Care Philosophy
My passion lies in the ability to work with patients and their families, and to follow a biopsychosocial approach to the health of my patients. I value long-term continuity with patients and so appreciate being able to see patients over time, whether they have insurance or not.
Why I Work Here
I deeply value the mission of CDCHC so that I’m able to see any patient, regardless of ability to pay or change in insurance status. This aligns with the social justice values my colleagues and I are so passionate about. I strongly believe healthcare is a human right and should not be based on arbitrary categories we place people in. Our clinic works well together as a team, and I often feel that my coworkers are like my family.
Well Being Philosophy
I have learned to meet patients where they are when approaching health concerns. Meaningful change can only happen when patients are the one with the agency to make their own choices in their health.
